Why I Read It:

At first, i will be very honest here, I just loved the cover, forgive me. But when I bought the first book Fallen, some how, i and expected more this sequel. And, im kinda impressed. Im a bit adamant at first, but then, this sequel is way better than the first. :) And i mean better!

Synopsis:

Hell on earth. That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students -Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn't told her everything. He's hiding something - something dangerous. What if Daniel's version of the past isn't actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else? The second novel in the addictive FALLEN series . . . where love never dies

Comments:

Way, way way better than the first book, Fallen! I would say that the first book Fallen, is lot like a very long "Prologue" for Torment. This sequel has more substance, and it showed more of the virtues and distinguishing characteristics that i look for a heroine/ villain.

I like Daniel Grigori so much. He has strength, mystery and even vulnerability. His character really gave me that interest to know and understood the "angel" metaphor here.  The counter character, Cameron Briel also complemented him a lot. I imagine a lot of spunk from Cam, and it made me think of which actor can best represent him. I love them both so, now, if i had the money, these guys would probably the top of my list to play the role of Daniel and Cam.

I would love ZAC EFRON (below) to play DANIEL GRIGORI. I have a serious crush on Zac, since 17 Again. I love his features and i feel that he can portray the role very well. Aside from the fact that Daniel is described as a violet-eyed, beautiful guy, Zac’s boy-next-door features could very well suit the readers imagination.

Alex Pettyfer could also be a suitable candidate for Daniel’s role; however, i find  Zac Efron’s features to be more angelic and romantic. <dont get me wrong, Alex looks just as good too>. In fact, Alex could be Cameron Briel, in a brown-shaded hair. J

Gossip Girl's CHASE CRAWFORD (below), seems to be the best option to play CAMERON BRIEL. Cam's role is cunning, sexy and subdued, with a hint of playfulness. I admit, I'm not that of a fan of Gossip Girl, and my consideration on my choice is purely because of his looks. But, yes, I think the famous Nate Archibald <Chase> would do just fine. He has skills and charm, just as I pictured the fallen angel/ demon Cam to be.

For the Series' heroine, LUCINDA PRICE... I had only one choice, and honestly I considered here angelic/ soft feautres alone. My choice is 10,000 BC's CAMILLA BELLE. To be honest, I am more of a KATNISS-EVERDEEN type of girl (The Hunger Games Trilogy heroine), but there's still some soft spot in me that can much relate to Luce Price. Her vulnerability yet, abundant inner strength really inspired me. Those moments of yearning for Daniel.. she is truly a very passionate and strong lady. Surely, many readers were able to relate in to her.

Somehow, I guess, even though I'm not much of a fan of a young-adult-love-story, Luce Price really sparked some of my dormant emotions when it comes to the matters of the heart.

They are so right when they say... I love Luce!

I remembered just now... another interesting character is MILES FISHER... now, dont you agree with me that ALEX PETTYFER may be the best to fill the role? Miles is such an interesting character in this sequel. :)

Lauren Kate's plot for this book is very cunning; the location/ setting is fabulous and the idea of Nephilim Academy really aroused my imagination. it made me feel like "i-want-to-enroll-in-Shoreline-right-now". With so much Vampire-Werewolf-Witches books, plus the series and movies that parade in our television airtime, an Angel-Demon concept of this series gave me more of edge of unfamiliarity resulting to more excitement and thrill. Hahaha i guess, now, in my world, i have added sets of favorite creatures to consider!

How about you? Suggest which one can play the best for DANIEL-LUCE-CAM-MILES J
